First of all, I hope you got an catchy tune while reading the blogpost. Sorry not sorry.
To be honest, I didn’t really WALK to the castle neither in those overknees nor in the High Heels, but not because the shoes are uncomfortable.
I think it’s time for some realtalk.
‘Cause since my everyday life is a chill mix of marveling at beautiful printerest pictures and color-arranging my breakfast. Seems like I lost my grip on reality.
Castle Eltz (the amazing castle in the background) has been on the top of my travel bucket list for quiet a long time. This place regularly breaks diverse instagram-like records and is only a stone’s throw from here. Tell me again, why I’ve never been there?
Well, finally I went to the pretty Rhineland-Palatinate for a shooting trip (ok, I was never in Rhineland-Palatine before and I only claim, that it’s beautiful there).
But I can tell you the castle is definetly NOT instagrammable. A short trip, parking directly in front of the castle’s gate, posing perfectly? An unpeopled and unproblematic sceney? Getting the one and only instagrammable shot within seconds?
Think again!
Because, before you enter the castle you have to walk…20 minutes…steeply downhill…that’s not the worst thing but you have to climb (or in my case – crawl) up the hill on your way back, puh.
But I can comfort you, there is a shuttlebus during the opening hours.
Well, I wasn’t that fortunate!
This „walking“ is so 2017, I nearly unlearned that as a fashionblogger. And even though the boots (and also the heels) are extremly comfortable, wild horses couldn’t drag me there….in my new shoes!
I’m walking
I found both pairs in the online fashionstore I’m walking and these two pairs of shoes show the huge product line perfectly. You can get everything you need as a fashion-addict and more items to put your closet’s capacity to an acid test there. No matter if you love petty designer heels or premium gumboots (definetly the better choice for such a trip – maybe next time), you find it all in the store.
Boots, pumps, sneaker and ssssshh you don’t only get shoes there.
Just in case you need more motivation to click yourself a way to the shop – the new spring collection is just beautiful.
I wear the Tom Tailor Overknees in a brown, used leather look and I love it.
Who has been following me for some time now knows, that I hate my knees and try to hide them in every look. That’s why I’ve been hunting for the perfect overknees for years now. Seems like I found my dream-boots! The inner material is so extremly soft and snuggle up against your leg perfectly. The cut is a dream and I fell in love with the used-look.
An absolute highlight is, that you can wear the shoe as an overknee or turned-down as a boot.
Another highlight is, that the boot has a lovely cuban heel. My tip for everyone, who wants longer legs – at least optically. Furthermore cuban heels are extremly comfortable and the perfect choice, if you want to wear the shoes during the entire day.
Insider-Tip: You get the Overknees now for half the price. Grab it, or you will regret it.
I am wearing a lovely pair of Pumps von Guido Maria Kretschmer in my second look. What I like best about the Heels is the classy color-combination. It goes well with every color and material.
There is simply no Fashion-No-Go with this pretty shoe.
In the same time the striped straps are really eyecatching and give you extra footing, plus ensure a unique wearing comfort.
The pumps are my secret summer-must-have and I am pretty sure it’s because of the cool shape. The price is quiet alright for a designer-heel. And how cool is it to be able to say „well, I have a pair of designer-shoes in my closet.“
For me it was extremly exciting to create 2 different looks and this is what represents the store the best. There is something for everybody (women, men, children) and for every taste in fashion.
Take a look and most of all – visit caste eltz!
Not only for instagrammable pictures 😉
*thank you I’m walking for the kind cooperation
